Castrol | Ford | Roush

So this was a different sort of few days for me. I got a call from a friend that she might need some help out in Charlotte, North Carolina for a cool shoot for Ford, Castrol, and Roush. That was all I needed to hear to say yes, but after finding out a few details, I knew this one was gonna be off the hook. It did not disappoint.

As soon as I arrived in North Carolina and got to the Charlotte Motor Speedway I met the DP for the first time, John Taggart and the Director Ben Orisich it was hard not to feel pressure. Their work is so dope-Well…….shoot was epic………the cars…..well…….the coolest I’ve ever seen.

So shooting the Ford Mustang Mach E 1400 was very……um…..stressful. It looked different with a close up view. And when peeking inside who knows what the heck was in there……most car people would have no idea……so how was I suppose to know? But let me tell ya……it looked rad……and when it was on the track……holy cow.

I wanted to do my best of gathering as many images as possible, because that’s what I do. I was shooting away getting my own shots, getting the scene shots, and doing my best to get crew shots. I have been finding that really hard to do, because of the masks. I am not some anti-masker or anything, but not seeing people smiling and having fun, really crushes my BTS shots. I do my best, and I can say I’m proud of the shots, and the work…..I just feel they are all missing something. Maybe next time I hope : ). Smiling faces always the best thing to see on set.

BTW…….everytime this car was on the track……I litterlty thought that there was a jet over head. I kept looking up at the sky……but it was the Ford Mustang Mach E 1400. It was a crazy experience and I would like to thank John and Ben for having me on their set to capture some epic moments. It was really one of the coolest days of shooting in my life.
