An epic shoot took place out in Florida and I am able to say I was there and had an amazing time. I got the call from Outside TV about the 3rd production taking place for Land Rover Defender out in Florida with Brooks Laich, and I was totally game to go shoot.
Day 1 I knew this was gonna be a special shoot. We linked up with Kenan Harkin who is a reptile expert and we got to be included in something very special. He was called a few weeks before we showed up, that there was an Owl stuck in a local high school soccer net. Kenan drove out there to help it. He took it to his friend who’s a vet and they determined that the Owl had a respiratory infection. Kenan nursed the Owl back to health and was ready to re-release it into the wild. And that’s the day we showed up.
My heart melted as we released the Owl. It was such an amazing experience. Thank you Land Rover and Outside TV for sharing this moment with me!!!!
Above are some of my favs from the shoot of the car. I had to include images of Koda the pupper. I don’t know if Brooks Laich has this dog as a Gerber Dog, or Kibble Dog or whatever…..but this pup was great in front of the camera. I know a lot had to do with Brooks, but Koda really did shine and get a few moments to herself. It was great working with a Dog and owner who not only were on the same page, but their relationship was able to show on camera, and that was really cool for me.
As we left the swamps of Florida we drove south…..to the Keys. When we arrived in the keys we linked up and did some spearfishing, SUP, and all sorts of adventures out there. It was a really great time hanging and getting to peek into the life of Brooks Laich. I might as well add his pupper, Koda into that wonderful mix as well. Great times had by all.
This was the final of the series of the three adventures we did for Land Rover and their all new Defender. It was really rad from Maine, to Utah and to Florida. We really met up with some cool people in some cool spots, in some of the greatest parts of America.
