Snow machines jumping through the air, skateboarders on ice – the list goes on when shooting the Red Bull Signature Series promo for NBC in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Working alongside the great director/DP, Scott Duncan and the team at Otherfilms, I spearheaded the winter still images and short time-lapses video for the promo.
The conditions at the mountain were rough – but funny enough – the weather helped exceptionally for images I had envisioned shooting. I wanted to photograph the act of water freezing and expanding into snow, similar to the dilation of an eye. It wasn’t easy, in fact – boy was it hard.
I can’t really explain how it all happened but I finally got the ice footage and the time-lapse videos recorded for the final Red Bull Signature Series promo – featured on NBC!
