Chevy | Silverado | Idaho

First of all I want to thank Outside Magazine and Chevrolet for having me on this shoot. It was a special moment in my life and this shoot was really really epic. I most likely will be doing 2 blog posts so that the one doesn’t drag on too long, but there’s so much to talk about.

First of all, I knew this was going to be an epic shoot when David from Outside told me some of the details. I knew heading out to Henry's Fork with Outside Magazine and Chevy for days of shooting would be awesome no matter how things panned out. Fortunately for me I ended up teaming up with some really great folks, who ended up making an epic shot come together and create something magical.

Chase White was the main photographer on set, and also doing a bit of directing and more. His portfolio is out of this world with fishing imagagry, and it was aboard his ship we sailed. He was world class at getting the shots and just watch the films they produced with the team. Its sick! Anyways it was an honor working on his set and helping take pictures and helping out anywhere I could. I loved it!

The camera team was Topo Films, and they are rad. It seems I look at reels everyday or epic footage on instagram everyday, I’m use to seeing epic, but these guys work took my breath away. Special is an understatement. You have to check out their work and let’s see if it takes your breath away too. It was rad getting to work along side Topo Films and Chase.

Chevy | Silverado | Idaho

I wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to Outside Magazine and Chevrolet for having me on this shoot.

One of the anglers we met up with was Austin Cambell. I knew who Austin was, because I have followed his instagram for a while now. Big smiles and beautiful fish. It made me happy when I saw the posts. After getting to finally meet him, he’s way nicer than I could have ever imagined. Austin is from Colorado as well and in fact we are kinda neighbors, so Im sure I’ll be seeing him around town now and again. Austin was an expert at fishing and it was a pleasure working along side him up at Henry's Fork.

Every once and a while I get to meet someone who surprises me. Katie Cahn did just that. Don’t let her soft voice fool you, she’s a powerful woman who’s taking names. It was amazing to watch her interview with Chase and hear her story. Powerful doesn’t seem like a strong enough word for her, but I’ll say this. For being such a force in this world, she sure is nice to be around. She’s a professional angler who’s been making waves in the industry for a bit now. It was so great to meet her and work alongside Katie. BTW-She makes beautiful jewelry by hand. Here’s a link to her website

Matt Mendes has a super great back story about his days as an angler. He runs a fishing guide business that keeps him on the water most days. Not only that, he has access to rivers and areas that are only allowed to be fished by Native Americans. Matt takes full advantage of his access to Oregon’s famous Deschutes River, and being one of the few on the river also gives him a unique opportunity to help the rivers as well. It was funny just chatting with him, but part of his daily routine when on the river is cleaning it. It was really cool to hear about how much he loves and takes care of that stretch of river. Check out Matt’s website to learn more.

Toyo Tires + Decked

Wanted to say a BIG thank you to Outside Magazine, Toyo Tires and Decked for having me out on this shoot. It was wonderful.

Shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico was really awesome. It provided very little shade which was bad for the heat, but great for the lighting. It bummed me out a bit that there was really no place for shade for my golden monkey portraits. I am always picky about the lighting in those, and open shade is kinda my go to.

It was great working with Toyo Tires and Decked. It was a great shoot, busy days but worth the trip and the end results are pretty rad.

Gotta say once Bryan met up with Adam it felt like the old days. Adam Glick is such a pro when it comes to cooking and shooting cooking. In fact I can think of few other professionals who understand their trade so well they can verbalize what shots to get and what not to. Adam is super nice guy who I love working with. -Great Dude. Great Food.-

Toyota | Tundra | Utah

First of all I want to say a big thank you to Toyota and Outside for having me on this most epic of adventures. Anytime I get the call from Outside that we are headed to a southwestern desert I’m always totally down. This one, I got the call we were headed out to Kanab, Utah. I love that area and knew this was gonna be a goodie. I flew out a day or two before the rest of the crew to scout a few locations and shoot some extra stuff.

So here’s a bit of cool news. I knew going into this shoot I was helping shoot the cover for the Outside Magazine gear issue. It was cool knowing that, so I did a bit more vertical shooting than normal but all went well. I will share that cover soon : ). Thanks Chris and Larry!!!!

Toyota | Tundra | Florida

First of all I want to say a big thank you to Toyota and Outside for having me on this adventure. It was so nice heading back out to Florida for a shoot and especially that it was mostly on the water. No big waves, just beautiful colors and epic surfing. We met up with Damien LeRoy who’s the man when it comes to kite surfing, and the foils. It was a super rad week and it was awesome watching them do their thing.

I had to make a second gallery to show some extra images : )

Toyota | Tundra | Texas

So I was. always under the impression that Texas was a warm beautiful part of the country. The week we shot there was an exception. It was freezing. I’m talking like 35 degrees and rain the whole time. It was maybe some of the coldest days of shooting in my life.

I want to say a huge thank you to Outside Tv / Outside Magazine and Toyota for having me on all these shoots. It was really awesome to be a part of this and help out where I could.

GoRVing | Outside | New Mexico

So I’ve been shooting quite a bit for GoRVing lately and they’ve been some cool shoots, in cool locations. So far I’ve shot in Taos, New Mexico, Vail, Colorado and near Minturn, Colorado. Its been some hot shoots, but that has not stopped us.

Chevrolet | Equinox | Silverton

Anytime I’m out shooting it’s a good day. Especially when you’re shooting in Silverton, Colorado. This was my second time shooting in Silverton this winter and it was so nice.

I want to take a second to thank RedSummit Productions and Chevrolet for having me out on this shoot. Even though the temperatures were far below zero, we had a great time and got some great images.

Thank you Chevy! Thank you Red Summit!

Chevrolet | Equinox | Sedona

So everyone who knows me, knows I love shooting in Sedona. There’s something about that place, maybe it’s the vortexes maybe its the red mountains at sunset, but either way I always seem to have great shoots down there.

This project was shot with the help from Red Summit Productions. This was my first time shooting with Red Summit, and I had such a great time. It was with the usual team, but having Red Summit drive the show was really awesome! Mike from Red Summit was so kind to me, and let me do my thing. It was really awesome!

I’m very proud of the images we got together and wanted to say thank you to Chevrolet and Red Summit for having me on this epic shoot.

In the set of images below there are a lot of button pushing shots. I don’t normally include those with my blog posts, but I thought what the heck. I worked pretty hard on them and thought they were pretty solid images. Gotta love those tiny details.
